Background

My name is Dave and I started Motor Racing during 2020. As an avid motorsport fan and  a car lover I decided in 2019 to dip my toe into motor racing. I had done some track days and whilst driving a Porsche around the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone I was talking to my driving consultant about his driving and motorsport. Needless to say after an interesting discussion I was off ording my starter pack and booking my ARDS test  at Goodwood. In August 2019 I had passed my ARDS test and got my competition license ready to race!

The biggest challenge was what to race and what can I really afford. My driving consultant at Porsche had mentioned MX5 racing and my peer during my ARDS course were more orientated to Classic racing off I went to research options. Finally I came across an Arrive & Drive package offered by NHA Motorsport and after chatting with Paul I did a taster session at Motorsport Days Live at Silverstone in November 2019. I was hooked and in December I had experienced a test day at Brands Hatch and looking forward to racing some of 2020.

Well decided on BRSCC MX5 Championship and signed uo for 3 race weekends in 2020, but COVID-19  hit and it was all up in the air. Great news at the beginning of August we had our first weekend at Cadwell Park and loved it!!!!
